Our bassist Stian Andersen was inspired by Cymbals Eat Guitars and their tune "Place Names" for this track. While it was originally planned to be played in an "ECM bossa"-flat swing-kind-of-way, the way it turned out was quite different. One day in the studio, he was suddenly equipped with a baritone guitar, ready to pay homage to his roots as an emo kid from Tasta, Stavanger. The result is haunting, epic and cinematic – as if Trent Reznor teamed up with Norwegian jazz musicians to revitalise post-rock.
